HOTEL ALPENHOF
Privacy statement.
How Hotel Alpenhof handles your personal data when you contact us, reserve a room, stay with us or use our website.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller is Kriek & Roggeveen OG, trading as Hotel Alpenhof, Oberbachstraße 10, 5522 Sankt Martin am Tennengebirge, Austria.
Your contact for privacy questions is Chantal Kriek. Write to info@alpenhofsanktmartin.at, use our contact form, telephone +43 664 122 5231, or write to the address above.
This notice covers hotel enquiries, reservations and stays, and use of this website.
Enquiries, reservations and website operation
Contact enquiries
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message and is configured to send them to the hotel mailbox. We use this information to answer your question and discuss your stay. Enquiries about a reservation are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, for steps requested before entering a contract. For other questions, Article 6(1)(f) applies: our legitimate interest is answering correspondence and providing guest assistance. Sending a message does not confirm a booking. Without the required contact details, we cannot respond through the form. Please do not send payment-card details, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information.
Reservations and your stay
To arrange and provide accommodation, we process the contact and reservation information you supply, such as your name, address, contact details, travel dates, accompanying guests, room requirements and agreed services. Payment and invoice information is processed where needed to handle payment and administration. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; accounting, tax and guest-registration obligations rely on Article 6(1)(c). Information necessary for a reservation or required by law must be supplied so that we can arrange and provide the stay.
The booking page contains the existing MyAida booking interface. Loading it connects your browser to the booking service, and information entered there is handled through that service. Please read its privacy information before submitting a reservation.
Guest registration
Austrian accommodation providers must keep a guest register under the Meldegesetz. The register contains the legally required guest details and arrival and departure dates. The competent registration authority and public-security authorities may inspect these records where the law provides for this.
Website hosting, email and security
When you visit the website, technical data such as your IP address, browser, requested page and access time can be processed to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the service. The legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is a functioning and secure website. Hosting and email are provided by Your Hosting B.V. (Yourhosting), Netherlands. See Yourhosting’s privacy information.
Who receives information
Hotel staff and service providers receive information where needed for the relevant purpose, including hosting, email and booking services. Payment services receive the information required for the payment method you select. Authorities receive information where disclosure is legally required. Where a supplier processes data on our behalf, the required data-processing arrangements must apply.
How long information is kept
Enquiry and reservation correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry, fulfil the stay and meet relevant legal obligations or handle legal claims. Accounting records and supporting documents generally have a statutory retention period of seven years, with longer retention where required for proceedings or another applicable rule. Guest-register entries must be retained for seven years from entry under § 10(2) Meldegesetz. These periods do not apply automatically to every enquiry or technical log.
Cookies, videos, maps and external services
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your device. Under § 165(3) TKG 2021, storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a service you request can take place without cookie consent. Optional technologies require prior consent; related consent-based personal-data processing relies on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. A visit to the website is not in itself consent.
Hotel Alpenhof does not use Google Analytics on this website.
Interactive ski maps
The ski guide contains externally hosted Intermaps piste maps. Loading an embedded map can transmit technical connection information, including your IP address and browser details, to the map service and services it uses. See Intermaps’ privacy information.
YouTube video
The Seepark guide contains a tourist-office video through YouTube. Loading or playing it can transmit connection information to Google/YouTube and involve cookies or similar technologies. See Google’s privacy information.
Contact map and route links
The contact map is a static image served from this website. Displaying it does not load an interactive map from Google, Apple, Waze or OpenStreetMap. Choosing a route button opens that external service; its own privacy information then applies. The same applies when you follow links to tourism, review or social websites.
Photos and video
Hotel photos and the homepage background video are served from this website. The absence of Google Analytics does not prevent external embedded services from processing connection data.
Your rights and how to contact the authority
Under the conditions set by the GDPR, you have the right to obtain information about whether we process your data and a copy of that data; to correct inaccurate data; to request erasure or restriction; and to receive portable data where applicable.
Right to object
You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. If your data is used for direct marketing, you may object to that use at any time.
Withdrawal of consent
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the GDPR protections concerning decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, where such decisions have legal or similarly significant effects.
How to make a request
Contact Chantal using the details above. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. Requests are normally handled within one month; where a lawful extension applies, you will be informed. Erasure can be limited by statutory retention duties, and other rights are subject to their applicable legal conditions.
Complaints
You may complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria; email dsb@dsb.gv.at.
